Robert L. Thornton II 7/27/1975 - 11/1/2002 Born in Jacksonville, Fla., the son of Robert and Elaine Harper Thornton. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was employed at CRST Trucking, Cedar Rapids. He enjoyed playing paint ball, motorcycles and working on cars. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Elaine and Duane Arp of Walcott; his father, Robert Thornton of Palatka, Fla.; a son, Trenton Thornton of Cable, Ill.; a daughter, Mackenzie Thornton of East Moline, Ill.; two sisters, Cheryl Ricke and husband Pat of Milan, Ill. and Karen Gross of East Moline; a grandfather, Leon Harper of Jacksonville, Ill.; and special friend, Stacey Singleton of Wapello. He was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Ruby Harper, Cecilia Lewis. from Stacey Singleton

Dave Victor Edwards January 15th, 1981 - August 7th, 2002 Though his smile is gone forever and his hands we cannot touch Still we have so many memories of one we loved so much Have you ever known the heartache or ever felt the pain. Forever wept the bitter tears that dropped like falling rain. Forgive us for crying and wishing you were here. It's so hard to give up someone we always loved so dear. You will never be forgotten and we miss you more each day. Life doesn't seem the same, since the Lord took you away. Thinking of you is easy, as we do that everyday, Missing you is a heartache that will never go away. Dave was killed in a car accident on August 7th, of 2002. He was 21 years old. He is always loved and always missed by his fiance, Erin, his son, Aidan Dave, who was not born at the time of his death, his mom, Verona, his dad, Alaska, sisters, Denise, Curlina, Michelle, and Monifa, brothers, Daniel, Michael, and Malcolm, and his friends, Eddie, Nicole, Sophia, Jasmine, Damon, Jigga, Terrell, Naughti, Ray, Nikki, and Rahmel, Prince, Ambrose, among others.
