GRHostDoyle ~ cdall427@bellsouth.net

My name is Coleman Doyle Alldredge., born in Shreveport, Louisiana April 27, 1950 and was raised in Texas and Louisiana. I have been living in Clarence LA since 1965. My wife Shirley and I have been married for 30 years. We have two sons, Yancy Doyle, born 1982 and Casey Boyd, born 1988. Yancy died November 12, 2002.
I like to write poems and plays. I started writing poetry on grief after my son died as a way to deal with my grief. I also like to hunt, fish and camp out when possible. I am a pre-school Sunday School teacher at Church. I help work with the children and teach children’s Church.
I was introduced to GROWW by my wife Shirley, for 5 months after my son’s death, I kind of shut myself off from everyone by not wanting to talk about my grief to anyone. I went to the main chat room a few times but I could not talk about my grief. Then Shirley got me to come to the Heavenly Angels Branch, at first I didn’t say much but listened mostly to the other people. There was love and compassion, Heavenly Angels has brought me a long way in my grief. I have a new family of friends to lean on when my grief gets me down. They support me and lift me back up, It is an honor to be part of the GROWW family.

My name is Judy B., I am from Peru Indiana. A friend of mine on the internet told me about GROWW after I lost my son Jeff to heart failure about 4 years ago. GROWW has been a God send for me. I wouldn’t have made it this far without them. I still have 2 children, LoriAnn 40 and Michael 38. I have been married to my husband Bill for 41 years. They have been a lot of comfort to me for the last 4 years.Jeffrey Allen Berkheiser

Ring Host for Heavenly Angels

I am Marion a/k/a mamadutch. born and raised in NYC. wife, mother of 2 and grandmother of 6. found GROWW from searching the internet, shortly after my oldest son Craig was killed by a car in brazil. in shock and bewildered, stumbled into unexpected angels chat room, and was greeted by host Cat, who embraced and soothe my empty soul that night. introduced me to other parents and members who walked the same path. that was almost 5 yrs ago. stopped into Heavenly Angels chat one night when Unexpected Angels did not meet, met host Maggie, ((((((((maggie)))))))) and other parents struggling to stay afloat in their grief. the compassion that Maggie, Jodee, Joy, Kelly, Judy and Charliebug displayed, kept me coming back for more. what was the most gut wrenching experience in my life, today brings new hope. Thanks to all the parents that have shared their pain and heartache, along with their encouragement, and allowed me to lean on them when I was blinded by my grief. til my son Craig and I meet again someday, seems like Heavenly Angels is stuck with me, their wayward child.

GRHostDianeF

Hello, my name is Diane Feeney. I am an Enrolled Agent/Tax Preparer,
as is my patient, loving and ever supportive husband of 12 years, Larry.
We are life-long residents of Maryland. I am also a bereaved parent.

My only child, Sarah, battled variously diagnosed mental illnesses since
she entered her teens and eventually began using street drugs as a way
of coping with her pain. Her initials: S. C. R., and the many times she
caused me to yell are a clue to my nickname when I’m not hosting
-"scream.” On November 23, 2005, when she was only twenty years and
twenty-five days young, she took a fatal combination of drugs and passed forever from this world.

Devastated, distraught, and desperately seeking answers on how to
survive this unimaginable journey called grief, I searched the Internet for
help. I originally found another site and from there I was introduced to
GROWW. After visiting the Main Room, I eventually found Heavenly
Angels. Here, I found others who have experienced the
unthinkable: having to bury your child. I also learned that through
the telling and re-telling, through sharing your pain and love, that healing
begins to take place.

Late in 2006, I was honored with the request that I become a
Host. GROWW is so important to me: my sanity (what little there might
be) and my survival have greatly depended upon this site. I dedicate my
efforts here to my love for and memory of my precious daughter, Sarah

GRHostMicheleD

My name is Michele Demzien (demz). I am married to my high school sweetheart,
Larry.  We have been married 32 years and together 37.  We were both born and
raised in Chicago and have lived in the Northwest suburbs since we were
married.

We have 2 children.  One we can see every day Marsha, and one that is in our
heart and soul, Chuck.  Marsha is married and has 2.9 boys.  Max age 5, AJ age 3
and Lukas Charles who is due to join us in August 2008.

I found GROWW while searching for sites after the death of my only son and baby
Chuck.

From the first night I came in until today I thank God for the friendships that I have
come to know.  If it wasn’t for the love and care given to me I would not be here
today.  I initially started with Heavenly Angels and then also started joining in
with Fallen Angels.

Chuck was a very talented athlete.  He was a wrestler and played football.  He
received a college scholarship to play football.  Unfortunately, he had a spinal
injury the last varsity game of his freshman year, which caused him to no longer
be able to participate in sports.  His pain was constant.  He tried everything he
could not to have the surgery and so did his physicians.  It was the drugs
> prescribed to him for 4 years (Oxycotton) that led to his addiction of heroin after
his spinal surgery.  He also had to bear the mental pain of 3 friends committing
suicide within 6 months of each other.  One of them his best friend and
roommate.  Chuck never overcame the pain of finding his best friend.

Chuck overdosed on Fentaynol June 17, 2006 16 days after his 25th birthday.

I felt the need to help other parents travel the long, winding and never ending
road of losing a child. In October of 2007, I asked to become a host. I am
privileged and feel that being able to do this is a true gift from God.
